Risk Policy
Our risk policy is closely aligned with the mission, ambition, and strategy of ASN Bank. All risks within the bank are assessed and controlled within a governance framework that meets regulatory standards. This includes financial, non-financial (e.g., operational risk), and strategic risks (e.g., sustainability and reputational risks).
The structure of risk management is defined in the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), which includes an annual long-term strategic risk assessment for a holistic approach.
The ExBo (Executive Board) holds final responsibility for ASN Bank’s risk policy, while the SB supervises this. To demonstrate the adequacy of the risk management framework, the risk strategy, the Risk Management Charter and policy documentation from EC Risk are submitted annually to the SB. The bank’s risk appetite is also submitted for approval each year, including any material interim changes.
The SB monitors risk policy and the associated control systems. The bank’s risk profile and appetite are periodically discussed. Based on this, the SB can determine at a strategic level whether capital allocation and liquidity usage align with the approved risk appetite and whether the bank’s operations fall within acceptable boundaries. The SB is supported in this by the Risk & Compliance Committee and the Audit Committee.
