VNO-NCW Tax Governance Code

The VNO-NCW Tax Governance Code is an initiative by Dutch companies to promote responsible tax behavior and transparency. The Code contains a set of principles for developing, implementing and publishing a tax strategy that honors both the letter and the spirit of the law. This Code has been developed in collaboration with a large group of companies.

As a bank with a social foundation, ASN Bank fully endorses the objectives of this Code. We consider the payment of taxes an essential part of our contribution to society. The Code provides a clear framework for structuring our tax policy and measuring it against societal expectations.

In our Tax Policy and annual report, we report transparently on our tax strategy and the way in which we apply the principles of the VNO-NCW Tax Governance Code in practice. In addition, we publish a comply and/or explain overview, as required by the Code.
